Boarding at Maui Lani Veterinary Hospital
When you need to be away from home and need a safe place for your pet to stay, we are here for you and your pet.
Our boarding facility allows you peace of mind that your pets will have the best care even when you cannot be with them. Whether you are leaving for one night or one week, we offer your pet the best care possible. Safety is our top priority.
When you board your pet with us, you can expect loving care and supervision.
We have separate facilities for dogs and cats and both areas are air conditioned 24/7. We have a designated kennel technician to care for boarders and provide any special feeding or care requests.
Pet parents can rest easy knowing they have chosen Maui Lani Veterinary Hospital for their boarding needs. We can assure your pet receives the best care possible in a loving environment.
Our Boarding Protocols
All pets are required to complete a meet and greet with our Kennel Attendant or a designated staff member prior to boarding. There is no fee for this visit. An appointment is required.
We are currently accepting boarding for pets who are current clients of our hospital. In addition, all pets must be under ongoing veterinary care in order to board at our facility.
Boarding Requirements
To ensure the health and safety of all pets in our care, the following requirements must be met:
- All pets must be current on vaccinations administered by a licensed veterinarian at least three (3) weeks prior to boarding.
- Dogs: DHLP-P and Bordetella (within the last 12 months)
- Cats: FVRCP and Leukemia
- All pets must have had a fecal examination for intestinal parasites within the past 12 months.
- All dogs must have had a Heartworm blood test within the past 12 months and provide proof of ongoing heartworm prevention.
Boarding Policies
- Pets will be admitted and discharged during normal office hours only.
- Boarding is billed on a per-day basis.
- Payment for boarding is due at admission.
- There will be an additional charge for boarding and/or sedating aggressive animals.
- All medications administered during boarding will incur an additional expense.
Flea Prevention Policy
All pets will receive a single dose of Capstar upon admission. The owner will be billed for this in addition to regular boarding charges.
If a pet is found to have fleas or ticks at the time of admission, additional treatment will be administered at the owner's expense.

Office hours are as follows and are subject to change:
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM*
- Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM*
- Friday: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Sunday: Closed
*Closed 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM for lunch Monday through Thursday.
